The Chelan County Public Utility District is the nation’s second largest non-federal, publicly owned hydroelectric generating system. As a member of the core Software Architecture Team, I designed, implemented, and deployed new systems, overhauled and/or replaced old systems, and advised other groups on Service Oriented Architecture, agile software development practices, and best coding practices.

Stemilt is the largest fresh market sweet cherry shipper in the world (100 of millions of boxes / year) and leverages its technology to allow hundreds of different plants, thousands of growers, and hundreds of shipping companies across the world integrate cohesively. I overhauled many of the old technologies that were not scaling or operating at a sufficient level to match company growth. I created, procured, or integrated new automation hardware, software, and processes to increase productivity and collect data.

From the top down, Expedia is really focusing on the technological advantage they currently have over their competitors by investing even more into technology. I joined the architecture team which is filling out to serve the technical needs of all teams by providing cross-team solutions to allow the product teams to deliver better business functionality to all our clients and to help penetrate other markets. It is an exciting time to be a part of such a great company (just ranked as Seattle's #1 'Coolest Places to Work' and ranked #20 in this year's Bloomberg Business week Top 50 S&P 500 Companies).

This area of Amazon is expanding in a major way to support the exponential growth of merchants fulfilling goods through Amazon's fulfillment supply chain at significantly lower costs than they can do themselves or through any other fulfiller.

Brightcove is the leading online video platform (publication, management, and distribution of media content) for professional websites, selling monthly subscriptions for their back-end Software As A Service along with a highly customizable (skins, highly specialized components) players to companies such as: A&E; Discovery Communications; Fox Entertainment; Rainbow Media; Showtime Networks; AOL; GM; Kohler; McKesson; Nestle; Philips; Sun Microsystems; Ticketmaster.

Ultra-stealthy and small company with an amazing long-term vision, but laser-focused short-term goals. Imagine XBox Live distributed across cell phones, netbooks, computers, and gaming consoles. Building a generalized (specializing with mobile, for now) gaming platform which is a bit past the proof of concept stage, but nearing large-scale adoption as a platform for large game production studios like COD.

Privately Held Financial/Investment Firm, with a group of online companies and products ranging from real-time automated trading (volatility/statistical arbitrage), to expert-level options trading tool for career traders, to education software simulating real market situations using fake money used by moms and pops to career traders experimenting with different modern portfolio theories, to generating vital options content with well-known on-air personalities.As to the investment side, Peak6 is able to quickly analyze markets, products, companies, capabilities, and quickly emerge in the market by means novel ideas and disruptive technology: oil fields, poultry cleaning technology, Yoga (dynamic video play lists, etc), to name a few. Peak6 is an extremely dynamic company willing to invest in anything or anyone that makes business sense. Given that over 90% of investments ultimately fail to break even, Peak6 is adept at knowing when to pull the plug and when to go full steam ahead. Over 10 years of avoiding a losing quarter is a testament to the analytical skills possessed by this company.

Worked in Supply Chain Optimization Systems. Specifically Fulfillment Optimization, and Fulfillment Promise. Scaling large systems responding to tens of thousands of requests per minute for near-optimal solutions to NP-Complete problems within 750 ms SLA.Worked on the Fulfillment By Amazon team which is exposing Amazon's core competencies of fulfillment (physical network) and technology logistics leveraging world-class delayed allocation systems. Contributed to Entomo’s core products which enable on-demand channel management for companies which procure and sell products using many disparate systems.

Worked in Visual Studio Update team (Internship)

Created an automated student login and tracking application with local data persistence, report generator, query system, and GUI, eliminating 95% of previous paperwork.
