Current- Complies with Board policies and processes regarding special education.- Works in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team or the success team, to maximize successful practices and contribute to student success by respecting the adaptations and strategies in the IEP.- Works together with the school team to develop and implement IEPs and safety plans.- Participate in consultations with the classroom teacher, resource teacher, COOP teacher and/or success teacher.- Develop positive and safe relationships with the student.- Document observations (anecdotal notes, differential grid and/or Form B)- Follow behavioral intervention plans, safety plan, medical plan, reinforcement system, SGC strategies, etc.- Support students in learning skills (life, social, work, behavior management, etc.) according to the IEP.- Intervene in disorganized situations, as determined in the security plan.- Accompany students in difficulty when necessary during activities, outings or visits during class hours.- Assist, or guide, the student in the steps for personal care according to the recommendations of the health professional- Guide the student in the use of specialized equipment (laptop, tablet, communication tool)- Provide and use visual support- Model, practice and provide feedback on skills (social, daily living and basic progress)- Model, practice and guide the student in the use of emotion management strategies- Model, practice and guide the student in the use of conflict resolution strategies- Model and practice social skills- Actively listen, discuss and find a solution with the student- Follow the student’s medical plan
