2021-2024: Head of Hardware and Manufacturing- Owned timeline, cost, and reliability from development to manufacturing to deployment of the v2, v3 and v4 CarePods. Worked closely with Product and Design to define scope and make tradeoffs.- Guided requirement definition of a v5 CarePod that would be regulated like a piece of furniture instead of a building via a UL 962 certification- Implemented a product development process and changed the hardware team's (and company's) development culture, leading to significantly more reliable products (99.99% reliability of critical systems) and lower cost products (reduced CarePod costs from $1.7M to $500k)- Managed a $20M annual budget with mechanisms to track spending against CapEx goals and R&D budgets, as well as monthly burn- Built a high performing team of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing engineers. Fostered accountability, support, and autonomy leading to significant individual growth and increased the team output.- Selected and implemented CAD and PLM tools to in-house engineering from a contract manufacturer- Created a QMS and set up a low-volume factory. Received UL certification for the factory.2017-2021: "Swiss Army Knife" (scope below is in chronological order)- Built the telemedicine team from 3 people to a remote workforce of ~50. Built tools to manage quality and performance rather than a call center.- Built the expansion team (real estate, construction project management, and everything else it takes to launch a clinic). Launched clinics 2 through 7.- Launched the New York market and imprinted Forward's culture on that team- Hired general managers for our clinics. Led an organization of ~40 people across 8 clinics.- Led the telemedicine and customer service teams. Built a continuous improvement cycle that reduced customer complaints.- Led the physical infrastructure team (real estate, construction, supply chain, and maintenance) through a retooling for 10x scale

We helped people near the end of life communicate their goals so they got the care they wanted. Our tech-enabled service aligned the patient's, family's, physician's and health insurer's incentives to increase quality of life and reduce cost of care in the last 6 months of life.

Designed a novel ablation catheter to control hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetics. IP was acquired by Medtronic.

Lead cross-functional teams within the Transcathater Heart Valve group through design, prototyping, testing, production, regulatory submission, and first-in-human clinical trials.
