Led engineering for Special Projects group which became ipsy Shop. Joined via SnapUp acquisition. Grew the team out to 30+ people. We helped create an updated brand partnership strategy to holistically include the new marketplace / new revenue stream. Fintech build-out included virtual credit card issuance, commerce front- and backends, fulfillment dashboards, and both automated and human assisted buying infrastructure. Adapted SnapUp commerce extractor/crawler technology for e-commerce automation.

Worked on modernizing, refactoring, and enhancing the Sincerely Ship Library for iOS used by third party developers. Contributed some bug fixes and improvements to other Sincerely apps as well.

Provided onsite iOS (iPad, iPhone) consulting and training for mobile product team. Helped develop product prototypes on iPad. Created prototype computer vision system for color indexing and search for the data science team.

First engineer. Led development of several major products and systems for during various phases of their lifetime (idea, prototype, launch, mass adoption, support) for four years, including StumbleUpon web toolbar, StumbleUpon Chrome extension, StumbleVideo, and StumbleUpon website (v2, v3, v4).I was lead developer on the most-used stumbling client, the web-based toolbar (JavaScript-driven client with PHP backend communicating with StumbleUpon's recommendation engine, as well as implementing some special recommendation algorithms of its own for non-logged-in users). I also was lead internal dev on StumbleUpon for Google Chrome, as well as various and many projects relating to user profiles, website experience, video, etc.Learned how to scale web apps and deliver products to millions of people, as well as grow an engineering organization up from the beginning.Acquired by eBay 2007; spun out 2009

I worked on internal intranet and authentication systems. Created ajax-based drag-and-drop calendaring system for all permanent employees. Created and supported utility software for internal use, including internal social network / directory "Backyard."

Helped support roll-out and customization of large library management software (Ex Libris Aleph). Supported custom-built Library Reserves software I first created as an undergraduate, but was still in use.
