Senior Consultant for Solomon Associates in the World Wide Fuels Study, Refining Division. Senior team member with responsibilities including role as the primary contact and trusted adviser to refining corporations all over the globe. Performed Fuels Study presentations, Data Coordinator seminars, and How2 seminars. Managed internal data review processes for the entire Solomon Refining Benchmarking team, as well as created the 2016 Fuels Study presentation. Key role in development of the initial Turnaround Duration Study. Conducted numerous Deep-Drill-Down (3D) analysis for a global list of refineries in all key metric areas of performance.

Process Consulting Services provides revamp services to the refinery industry. Responsibilities included presentations to executive management of client organizations, process design, equipment evaluation, hands-on unit field performance evaluations and identifying process equipment modifications that improve unit operability, reliability, and profitability. Additionally was responsible for representing the company to national organizations and at client conferences and for evaluation of applicable technologies for client utilization.

Involved as member of HOVENSA Leadership Team in collaborative decision-making for all aspects of operation of refinery including budgeting, personnel, strategic planning, facility optimization, environmental and safety performance, and capital projects. Ongoing responsibility for quarterly presentations to Board of Directors on a variety of topics and Town Hall presentations to refinery staff.Led task group directed to develop long term strategic major capital investment programs for the facility. Primary initiative was to optimize cash margin (yield) improvements for the facility designed to close the Solomon performance gap, create revenue, and protect existing margins. A secondary initiative targeted improving facility energy performance.Responsibility for diverse functional groups including Technical Services, Quality Control, and Applications Engineering Departments, Design Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Reliability, and Inspection Departments. Seven direct reports with groups comprised of approximately 180 direct company employees – exempt, non-exempt, and hourly -- along with approximately 300 contractors doing both capital and expense work.As Incident Commander, was responsible 24/7 for all emergency response within facility, including Fire Brigade, HazMat Team, and Rescue Squad, and utilizing Federal ICS structure and protocol.
