During this period I represented Nova Casualty, Industrial Indemnity, Coregis, AIG, Lexington, SCIF, Sedgwick, Marsh, Regional Reporting, Jenkins Athens, Jenkins, Leavitt as well as other carriers and brokers who partnered with the PCOC on our custom insurance program and captives. Worked in detail coverage areas including property, general liability, workers compensation, pollution, errors and omissions.. Inspected and consulted with clients for a wide range of business concerns; business practices, regulatory and occupational health and environmental health and safety compliance, security, and other matters making evaluations and appropriate recommendations. Director of Education and later Technical Services Manager for the largest statewide pest control association in the nation with more than 1400 members. Represented the industry in front of the California Legislature, Department of Pesticide Regulation, Structural Pest Control Board, Water Boards, Fish & Game, as well as local agencies. Created the Statewide Africanized Honey Bee Certification recognized by the California legislature and recognized in three separate statutes. Consulted with pest control companies on issues relating to pest management, regulatory compliance, and business. Wrote regular articles for several publications, and gave dozens of professional presentations a year.Association management, meeting planning, programs, publications and representation.Gave professional seminars on integrated pest management, pest biology and entomology, construction, business practices, water quality, environmental protection including pesticides, lead paint, regulatory compliance, risk management, insurance, safety and loss control topics ranging from worker health and safety topics, fall protection, errors and omissions, fleet safety and other related topics.
