It is my honor to serve as the President of Attorneys Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. (ATGF). Working with the extremely talented and dedicated management team, staff, Chairman and Board of Directors, we have transformed the company into an industry leader in underwriting technology, compliance, and risk management. During my tenure as President, our team transformed ATGF from a company that had lost $2.7mm in the previous six years to one that has made $1.3mm in the last six years. The ATGF team has faced several significant challenges in my tenure with the company. We have carefully navigated them all, to turn the company into a strong, lean, smart, and profitable organization. Our company is dedicated to working with independent title agents and attorney agents and preserving their role in the future of our fast changing industry. We are continually innovating to achieve ongoing performance excellence. ATGF worked with our insurance broker partner to develop an industry leading fidelity and cyber crime insurance program for agents. Our team successfully deployed the most robust electronic title policy underwriting and issuance system in the industry to over 500 title insurance agents. Together we achieved the most favorable compliance findings and lowest fines of any title underwriter in Division of Insurance Market Conduct Exams in the preceding four years by creating a culture of compliance. We developed and implemented fully documented, comprehensive compliance processes and built a constructive working relationship with Division staff. We are also proud of our continuing involvement and leadership roles with regulatory and legislative matters and our place in the title insurance industry, nationally, and in the multiple states where we operate.

I founded and built a state-oriented political consulting lobbying firm. Working together with clients, allied interest groups, and members of the legislature, I was privileged to play a part in shaping public policy on a number of issues ranging from bicycle safety to epidemic preparedness. It is gratifying to drive by Sports Authority Field at Mile High, see a Share the Road license plate, or enjoy the benefits of Colorado’s corkage law, all of which I had a role in creating. More than anything however, I value the long-lasting friendships that I developed with legislators, fellow lobbyists, and clients which have continued to grow since I have moved on to other endeavors.

OMS provides executive and administrative services to a variety of non-profit organizations, specifically trade associations and professional societies. I had the pleasure to serve this company for ten years. As co-owner and managing partner, I led the OMS team in the provision of a full range of services to client organizations, including executive leadership, event staffing, financial planning and management, professional development and continuing education programs, and overall administration. Acting as Executive Director and primary contact for multiple clients, I oversaw legislative and regulatory activities, including the management of contract lobbyists. I provided professional leadership to their Boards and substantially raised public and political profiles of our client organizations while performing in this role.
