At Encore360, as co-founder and content director, I lead the creative project development for all internal and external projects. This involves designing and implementing targeted content marketing strategies for businesses across multiple industries, as well as honing the brand voice and identity of Encore360 as a modern B2B content brand. Day-to-day tasks and achievements include:- Compiling in-depth client dossiers and working closely with marketing teams to connect business goals to target audiences- Writing features to entertain and educate those audiences (and capture meaningful SEO metrics)- Conducting in-depth interviews and developing audio/video content to achieve targeted goals- Collaborating with our Client Strategy Director to identify and qualify new prospective clients- Managing a team of freelance writers, developers, designers, and SEO pros to provide high-quality creative content to our partners on a timely basis

At Cannabis Business Times, I oversaw the digital editorial production of our media and conference brands. This included:- Developing a vast network of sources and covering regulatory/legal news for the cannabis and hemp industries- Managing a team and overseeing daily newsletter production, editorial decision-making, audience engagement strategies, social media presence- Creating and implementing custom projects and digital campaigns for clients (webinars, white papers, lead generation packages, sponsored social media content)- Contributing to editorial planning for Cannabis Conference, our annual business event in Las Vegas- Assisting the publishing company in broader transitions to digital media, setting new goals/benchmarks, guiding colleagues in developing an editorial voice for the web.

At Cleveland Scene, I wrote longform features, local news stories, in-depth investigations into public officials/criminal cases, music profiles and much more. I did most of my own photography. Back in the office, I helped lead our editorial decision-making and weekly print production cycle as the managing editor from 2014-2018.Since 2018, I've contributed features as a freelance writer and vehemently supported the antagonistic mantle of the alt-weekly voice in the Northeast Ohio media market.

At Sun News, I was a beat reporter for several newspapers, covering the cities of Medina, Broadview Heights, Strongsville and Lakewood. I reported on city council decisions, school board policies, local business communities and much more. I wrote traditional human interest features, did most of my own photography and developed a rich network of local sources. In the newsroom, I helped lead the publishing company's early work with social media and daily blogging.

I held various editorial positions at this independent, off-campus news magazine. On top of writing news features and media criticism columns, I also helped manage monthly (and, later, quarterly) magazine production. I assisted in the direction of our web edition, including assigning and editing staff stories.
