I manage the migration of existing systems to ensure a smooth transition and foster a team environment to deliver exceptional ongoing support for our pharmacy system portfolio.

Leveraging 20 years of industry experience, playing a critical role in bridging the gap between healthcare operations and technology. Working closely with healthcare organizations to assess their IT needs, recommending appropriate technology solutions, and implementing systems that improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency, increase profitability, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT & STRATEGY: Analyze existing IT infrastructure and workflows within healthcare organizations to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, and develop comprehensive IT strategies that align with the organization’s goals and regulatory requirements.SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION & INTEGRATION: Lead the implementation of healthcare IT systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), IVR & POS APIs/ platforms, and patient management systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies and workflows, while coordinating with the Client to meet clinical, operational, and administrative needs.TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR: Provide expert guidance to healthcare organizations on the adoption, use, and management of technology solutions. I joined Giant Eagle during an IT Transformation which included managing a fully remote team of 13 Team Members, ranging from Support Analysts to Domain Architects. During this time, I restructured the teams to improve support resolution for pharmacy business users, while creating ServiceNow dashboards and reporting to track team performance. Additionally, I implemented Agile Methodologies that brought structure, increased velocity, and transparency to pharmacy business & IT teams. These changes allowed for continuous evaluation of processes to drive for constant improvement and efficiencies.My responsibilities included: supporting over 200 pharmacies over multiple states, monitoring and maintaining internal application (.NET, Java, ReactJS, Unix scripting, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) multiple business units, managing business critical vendor relationships, gathering business requirements, partnering with pharmacy compliance teams to ensure operations were compliant with State and Federal regulations.

Reporting directly to the CFO & CEO, I relocated from Fort Worth, TX to Boulder, CO to provide experience with market expansion efforts: pharmacy acquisitions and relocations, file buys, two USP-800 compounding centers equipped with negative pressure rooms. My responsibilities also extended to managing the pharmacy technology stack for 27 pharmacies across five states, constantly looking for operational improvements for staff and an elevated patient experience.In 2019, I was tapped to lead a new company initiative which involved non-sterile compounding services. My overall responsibilities including: P&L management, budgeting, creating business processes and policies, as well as the construction of two USP-800 negative pressure room (Denver & Portland) with sales topping $2.5M. Additionally, I oversaw five Sales Representatives in key markets (Los Angeles, Bay Area, Denver, Portland/Seattle and San Diego).During the COVID-19 pandemic, I managed the implementation of a COVID-19 vaccine program by enrolling pharmacies with state, county and federal entities, managing vaccine ordering, deploying a scheduling system to manage patient flow, and monitoring billing with major third-party payers, as well as HRSA claims for under-insured or those with no insurance.In early 2023, Pharmaca was acquired by Medly Pharmacy, which subsequently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, ceasing all operations.

Developed and managed detailed project plans for the implementation of PDX's Enterprise Pharmacy System (EPS), including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinated with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Oversaw all phases of the implementation process, from initial planning to go-live and post-implementation support.Led the deployment of pharmacy software systems, such as medication dispensing systems, inventory management, and e-prescribing platforms for Fortune 500 companies (Target, Costco, and Albertsons-Safeway).Ensured seamless integration of new systems with existing pharmacy operations, workflows, and IT infrastructure. Collaborated with cross-functional IT teams, pharmacy operations, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.Developed comprehensive training programs for clients on the use of new systems. Created user manuals, training materials, and support documentation to assist end-users. Provided ongoing support during and after implementation to address any technical or operational challenges.Managed relationships with software vendors and third-party providers to ensure successful implementation and adherence to contractual obligations. Reviewed and negotiated vendor contracts, statements of work, and service level agreements. Monitored vendor performance and resolved any issues that would arise during the implementation process.Served as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, up to and including the C-suite.Provided regular project updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.Facilitated meetings and discussions to ensure alignment and address any concerns throughout the implementation process.

I was responsible for preparing and dispensing prescription medications with precision and care, including compounding, packaging, and labeling non-sterile products. Working closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to ensure that all processes adhered to safety and regulatory standards. Additionally, inventory management was a critical responsibility, which included overseeing ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications, as well as conducting regular inventory audits to address discrepancies or expired medications.Most importantly, providing excellent customer service assisting patients with prescription pick-up and billing and insurance verification.
