Served as a civilian welder for the United States Navy. Responsible for performing repairs, modifications, and maintenance to nuclear powered submarines, aircraft carriers, and various naval equipment.Performed welding duties using GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW processes.Performed thermal cutting using oxygen/acetylene and plasma cutting torches.Accomplished numerous welds jobs that were in the vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.Read and interpreted blueprints and sketches. Responsible for structural repair and maintenance of MH-47G Chinook and MH-60L Blackhawk helicopters. Worked in close accordance with technical manuals and blue prints. Team leader on multiple MH-47G heave maintenance phases. Worked as a team member on over 30 heavy maintenance phases. Fabricated parts to complete repairs using aluminum, steel, and titanium, to include heat treating formed parts. Mentored junior shop members and conducted training on all required tools and procedures.
