Eric Savard's background spans more than 35 years of sports events organization and administration. Since 1987, he has been involved in 50+ international major sports events.Based in Monaco from 1994 to 1999, as Event Manager for the International Association of Athletics Federations (now World Athletics), he participated in the coordination of 6 World Championships per year in 18 different countries, on the 5 continents. He has also worked in Canada over the years for single / multi sports organization governing bodies and bid / organizing committees.His last executive management position were with the IAAF World Championships - Edmonton 2001, the IAAF World Youth Championships - Sherbrooke 2003, the IAAF World Junior Championships - Moncton 2010, the IAAF World Relays - Bahamas 2014 and the Halifax 2014 Commonwealth Bid. He has been involved in bid/event related to the following international federation: CGF, CIJF, FIFA, FIG, FINA, FISU, IAAF, ICF, IJF, IMGA, ITU and WPFG Éric Savard is also a consultant in major sporting venue construction. Over the years he has been involved in the design of more than 25 venues. Among his other attributes is a gift for public speaking. He has spoken at various conferences and workshops across Canada as well as in United States, Switzerland and France.
