Equity Long Short Hedge Fund Manager

• Delivering $20m of savings through the renegotiation and implementation of new fund administrator arrangements.• Delivering the new fund administrator model with improved service levels, strengthened legal arrangements and new commercial arrangements which capture the benefits of growth and scale.

• Managing the day-to-day integration of the combined operations, risk management, finance, compliance, product development, marketing, client service and technology functions as COO-in-Residence of Ore Hill the credit hedge fund manager. Located in Ore Hill’s offices from June 2008.• Developing and implementing the restructuring and recapitalisation of the Ore Hill funds and business during the credit crisis in 2008 and 2009.• Supervising Man’s proprietary credit investment positions.• Managing the strategic, business and operations due diligence during the acquisition of Ore Hill (AUM of US$3.7bn at the time). • Building relations with the Ore Hill Principals and staff, acting as the interface between the Man and Ore Hill organisations, and developing the strategic business plan for the combined credit business, which included Ore Hill and Man’s loan and CDO investment business.

• Reporting directly to the CEO of Man Investments, responsible for the strategic planning process including aligning strategic objectives across the business units. • Preparing the business plans for three annual Man Group plc Board of Directors strategy meetings, including presenting the business plan in person in 2007.• Managing firm wide strategic initiatives such as an in-house clearing broker for clearing AHL trades (Man’s managed futures quantitative trading manager), implementing MiFID, establishing a secondary liquidity platform for fund investors and assisting the CEO of AHL to design a new organisational management structure. • Coordinating the search for hedge fund manager acquisition targets and conducting strategic reviews. • Chairing and coordinating Man’s COO forum and IT Steering Board, and member of Man’s Risk Assurance Committee.• Providing strategic analysis of hedge fund trends and Man’s strategic positioning against competitors for the Group Board.

• COO/CFO of Man’s Swiss regulated fund management company managing two multi-manager funds with AUM of US$76m. These were two of the first Swiss domiciled regulated hedge funds. • Responsible for all day-to-day operational, finance, risk management, cash management, regulatory and compliance functions. • Establishing the company and obtaining the approval and license from the Swiss regulators (Swiss Federal Banking Commission), including designing and implementing the operational, finance and risk infrastructure, and obtaining sign off from the external audit firm on compliance with Swiss regulations.

• Refocusing the business strategies of a Swiss semiconductor company, and German apparel group.• Conducting strategic and financial due diligence of a semiconductor company onsite in Silicon Valley, US. • Developing corporate strategy know-how, strategic project management and application of strategy tools.

Private Equity investment company based in Zurich Switzerland, focusing on the Biomedicine sector with activities in the geographical regions of Europe and Asia, mainly Japan and India.• Establishing a private equity Biotechnology fund investing in Europe and USA, AUM US$70m. • Managing private equity investments in Switzerland and Japan.• Managing FEI Capital Partners as a start up, and developing new business opportunities.
