Responsible for designing presentation materials, for communicating relevant information in a comprehensible manner, develop education content, and for implementing a curriculum to teach 45 students about the issues and research techniques in the context of a World Music Class. In order for students to learn about various cultures around the world, I use several strategies that introduce students to a variety of musical practices from diverse cultures while teaching them about different research and writing techniques that will improve their educational and professional abilities. My job includes the preparation of class lectures using PowerPoint and EPUBs, the evaluation of student performance through different evaluation tools, including written reports, oral presentations, and in-class examinations. Translate technical and conceptual ideas to students with little to no background in music, anthropology, and international studies.

Advise the Department of Arts and Culture for San Antonio on artistic activities in the city as they relate to their grant for individual artists.

Develop, write, and implement grant applications to support the general operations and educational programs of The Magik Theatre. By raising over $1.25 Million in donated revenue, The Magik Theatre is able to provide literature-based performance to 130,000 students, free or discounted tickets to 80,000 students from Title 1 schools, and Sensory-Friendly performance to children on the autism spectrum.

Write program notes for concerts and provide pre-concert lectures for each performance. In all, I'm working to make the world of Classical music fun and accessible to everyone.

Directing a class of 12 students through the rich cultural history of music throughout history.

Responsible for assessing 80 students, presenting information in a comprehensive and accessible manner, and implementing a curriculum to teach three sections of Music Appreciation at Northeast Lakeview College.

Research and acquire information on the composers and compositions performed during the festival. Write a 20-page document that describes, using simple and clear language, these various works for a diverse constituency who have different understandings of music and music history.

Received a fellowship from the USC Thornton School of Music to write, edit, and research my dissertation.

Received a research grant to carry out primary and secondary research in Berlin, Germany for my dissertation.

Responsible for writing and applying for grants to support the educational and performing arts programs of the San Antonio Symphony. Reported to donors in a timely manner regarding the use of funds and prepared reports for the Board of Directors on Development activities. Researched and applied for new grants and organized events for donor cultivation.

Duties included cataloguing, repairing, and binding monographs and scores, managing invoices, and maintaining on-line databases.
