Eric M. Schor, EMS Communications Co-founder and Principal, has been called "the Bobby Knight of business coaches". A self-described "gym rat" and former professional sports agent, he has the unique ability to read people, motivate them to perform at their best, and intuitively guide them to success. He has been praised for his tough- love approach, no-nonsense style and confidence-building coaching tactics.Eric tells clients what they NEED to hear in order to improve, not what they WANT to hear to feel good. He is known to cut through the clutter and get to the point, serving as a catalyst to help people make positive and lasting changes in their leadership and communication styles.He spent more than 10 years as a manager and team leader in both a Fortune 500 company and in small businesses. His expertise working with people with varied levels of experience—from corporate CEOs to new hires—has helped EMS make bottom line impacts in their clients’ lives and in their companies.Outside of the office, Eric still lives by his "once a coach, always a coach" philosophy by serving as a mentor to job seekers, students, business professionals and many others. He is married and also the father of four boys, who keep him busy while benefitting from his energy and coaching as well.Eric joined forces with long-time friend Eliot M. Shapiro in 1998 to form EMS Communications. Together, they've built a record of success working with business professionals, entrepreneurs, and companies including Comcast, Wells Fargo, Walsh Construction, Advocate Health Care, CH Robinson and Sleep Number Beds.
