Mr. Clay is sought after as a SME in security issues, delivering presentations at national and International conferences, as well as frequently appearing in security industry trade publications as an author and interviewee on healthcare security and workplace violence issues.Mr. Clay currently serves as the Vice President of Security Services for Memorial Hermann Health System, providing security leadership for 450 security and law enforcement officers at the System’s seventeen hospitals and 250 care sites. Previously, Mr. Clay served as the Chief Security Officer for CoxHealth, one of the nation's "Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Networks." As such, he was responsible for providing leadership for six hospitals, over one hundred medical facilities, and nearly 12,000 employees in Southwest Missouri and Northeast Arkansas.Mr. Clay served two Missouri Governors as an appointee on the State's Homeland Security Advisory Council (MHSAC.) The MSHAC was established to review state and local security plans and provide the Governor with recommendations for changes to better protect Missourians.Mr. Clay spent 6 years working overseas in the security field. Most recently, he served as Iraq Country Manager for a U.S. based energy company. Mr. Clay was a key participant in securing the exploration rights to a 269-square kilometer block in Northern Iraq, making his employer one of only two U.S. based companies able to do so. Mr. Clay served as the company's main point of contact for the Iraq and Kurdistan Governments. Mr. Clay supervised as many as 300 employees, and oversaw a multi-million dollar budget.Mr. Clay has also worked overseas as a security consultant, traveling to over 35 countries, and providing services to a diverse group of clients. These clients included U.S. and European politicians, NGOs, and company executives. The Memorial Hermann Health System consists of seventeen hospitals, eight Cancer Centers, three Heart & Vascular Institutes, and twenty-seven sports medicine and rehabilitation centers, in addition to 200+ outpatient and rehabilitation centers.I also oversee the system-wide Security Department budget of more than $25M, while planning, developing, training, implementing and guiding goals and objectives. I ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and that our facilities comply with Memorial Hermann Risk Management protocols.Additionally, I analyze vendors, technology, oversee system security assessments and make technology, physical barrier and employee staffing recommendations at campuses and facilities based upon industry guidelines, including crime statistics, square footage, physical constraints and other mitigating factors.

This Federal Air Marshals Service maintains the highest firearms standards of any federal agency.I also received an award for my actions aboard an aircraft.
