As Vice President of Security, I lead a team of over five hundred (500) security and law enforcement officers, charged with ensuring the safety of our employees, patients at visitors. This is accomplished by planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating all aspects of protective services and security operations for Memorial Hermann, the largest not-for-profit health system in southeast Texas. The Memorial Hermann Health System consists of seventeen hospitals, eight Cancer Centers, three Heart & Vascular Institutes, and twenty-seven sports medicine and rehabilitation centers, in addition to 200+ outpatient and rehabilitation centers.I also oversee the system-wide Security Department budget of more than $25M, while planning, developing, training, implementing and guiding goals and objectives. I ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and that our facilities comply with Memorial Hermann Risk Management protocols.Additionally, I analyze vendors, technology, oversee system security assessments and make technology, physical barrier and employee staffing recommendations at campuses and facilities based upon industry guidelines, including crime statistics, square footage, physical constraints and other mitigating factors.

As the Chief Security Officer for CoxHealth, I led a team of over 100 POST certified law enforcement, cybersecurity and physical security professionals that provided security services to six-hospitals, and over one hundred facilities throughout Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. I worked closely with other executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending throughout the multi-state system. Led teams that became the first and second hospitals in the State of Missouri to receive the IAHSS Program of Distinction, and were also recognized as being in the top 1% of hospital security departments by Press Ganey. I personally authored and executed MOU's with several law enforcement agency that provided training for the agency and commissioning agreements for CoxHealth. I created the State of Missouri's only healthcare-specific security training center. The training center also provides over 150 POST certified classes to area law enforcement officers. In 2017, CoxHealth awarded me the company's "Fire Starter" award.

As Director of Security for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, I managed a staff of over sixty security professionals; developed and implement security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. I worked closely with other executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology. Additionally, I oversaw incident response planning as well as the investigation of security-related incidents, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.

As the Country Manager, I prepared and managed an operational budget of $30M. Negotiate 100 employment and vendor contracts, and secured favorable contract terms, including terms and conditions, length of contract, and contingency clauses.  I supervised as many as fulltime 20 employees and approximately 280 on-site contractors.  I also served as a main point-of-contact (POC) for governments of Iraq and Kurdistan. Interacting with officials at the highest levels of government, including the Prime Minister, the President, and relevant Ministers.  I authored security plans and policies/procedures for personnel traveling to, and working in, Iraq. I directed and coordinated guidelines for exploration activities as well. I was also a key participant in securing exploration rights to a 269-square-kilometer block in the North of Iraq. Used existing relationship with the Kurdish and Iraq Governments to initiate a meeting with the Prime Minister. After 2 years without any progress, I secured an agreement within 10 months.

As the owner of Sentinel Advisory Group, I provided Special Operations training, consultation and operational support to the U.S. Government, allied governments, Non-Government Organizations and developing countries. Additionally, my companyprovided training and support to U.S. Federal, state and local Law Enforcement Agencies and approved corporate clients in support of Homeland Defense forces. To accomplish this, I employed operators and instructors selected from among the ranks of former U.S. Special Forces personnel, Special Operations Forces, International Special Operations Forces, Intelligence and Law Enforcement organizations. This allowed me to provide our clients with the best group of professionals available to meet their unique requirements.Past client groups included: The U.S. Government, NGO's Aviation, Energy, mining and infrastructure, Colleges and universities, and Civilian police agencies

Ensured the safety and security of clients in high-threat areas of Iraq. This was accomplished through security checks of vehicles, residences, guests, and areas visited; the development of a rapport with local law enforcement, militia, U.S. Military, and others entities; and through continued research to identify developing trends. I was also responsible for the planning, supervising, and conducting operations. Additional duties included overseeing all administrative matters, such as payroll, budgeting, and purchasing equipment for the detail. I worked out and ran on a regular basis to maintain a high level of physical fitness. I also maintained proficiency with all assigned weapons, as well as most commonly used weapons in the U.S. arsenal and weapons favored by the indigenous population of the area I was assigned to. I supervised as many as forty employees.

As a federal air marshal, my responsibility was to promote confidence in the Nation's civil aviation system by ensuring the safety and security of U.S. flagged aircraft, flight crews, passengers and airport facilities. This was accomplished through thorough security checks of passenger manifests and passenger accessible areas of the aircraft; the development of a rapport with flight crews and other airline personnel; and through continued research to identify developing trends. While attending both the Basic Air Marshal Training program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and the Advanced Air marshal Training program in FAA Headquarters in New Jersey, I achieved a high enough GPA to receive an academic award, as well as recognition for my superior skill with a firearm. This Federal Air Marshals Service maintains the highest firearms standards of any federal agency.I also received an award for my actions aboard an aircraft.
