About Eric Senunas 🇺🇦
I'm an entrepreneur with experience in the technology/green tech, media and education spaces. Over the last decade, I've primarily focused on early-stage technology companies from co-founding Java Collaboration Middleware startup Remote Proximity; to joining dynaTrace software as one of its first American employees and helping it to a sale for over a quarter Billion; to co-founding Zema Good (a cleanweb software company); to helping design / story-tell Turbonomic to a $2BN exit (IBM). I’m also an angel investor in mission-driven ventures (listed), particularly those involved in the EV battery chemical supply chain. Batteries are the choke point for decarbonization, so any technology that improves or scales that value chain enables investors to do well by doing good.During the tech depression of ‘99-03 I did double-duty as a teacher in the Boston Public Schools to keep RP alive - and might have stayed if the system wasn't so completely fouled up...That experience in Public Schools introduced me to compelling characters and stories that started my on the road to screenwriting and filmmaking. I’ve completed 5 scripts, filmed one (a micro-budget film shot under the SAG’s Experimental program) and am actively producing the last two.I traveled to Ukraine during the early phase of the war to help friends who are citizen war crime documenters and am finishing a documentary about their incredible work. During production they were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2022, an event that I was honored to attend (and film a bit for the documentary).I also have extensive experience in US politics and government, first working on then-Senator Joe Biden's 1988 Presidential Campaign in New Hampshire, to working on then-Governor Bill Clinton's 1992 Presidential Campaign, to joining the Clinton White House staff in 1993. During my time in the White House, I served under Chief-of-Staff Mack McLarty, NAFTA Czar Bill Daley and NAFTA Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel, and finally as a Senate liaison in the office of White House Legislative Affairs.I'm also Sofia's Dad - and mourning the passing of my lovely wife Alison (those probably should have gone first...). I've always cared about the environment, but it's largely because of Sofia (and an odd obsession with efficiency that I started Zema Good). At heart, however, I’m a storyteller, so I will always look for the story at the center of any human endeavor.
