Supported the US Air Force at Aviano Air Base, ItalyManaged multi-million dollar and multi-year projects upgrading base’s data centers, with focus on base area network IT equipment, infrastructure redundancies, and satellite communications solutions to ensure system resiliency in accordance with DoD requirements. Successfully completed major, high-visibility projects including: Upgrading the Base Information Transport Infrastructure Base Area Network (BITI BAN) wired network capabilities at 49 telecommunication rooms in 24 buildings across Aviano AB; systems and infrastructures upgraded included Core and Critical Access Nodes, and fully redundant electrical distribution systems. Deployed the first satellite communications Deployable Ku-KA-X-band Earth-ground Terminal (DKET) over a commercial satellite constellation in Europe as a tertiary fail-over transport option. Installed the Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (G-ASNT) system of systems at Aviano AB for the US Air Force's Nuclear Defense Command and Control mission.General duties and responsibilities included drafting Statements of Work (SOW) for construction and support contracts, developing and tracking project schedules, milestones, and costs, and providing regular project status briefings to senior military officers and government service leadership.

Supported the US Air Force at Aviano Air Base, ItalyDeveloped project plans for the multi-million dollar, three-year Technical Control Facility (TCF) Modernization and Alternate TCF Implementation project for Aviano Air Base. Rebaselined the Aviano Air Base Installation Processing Node (IPN) Remediation project to bring critical IT infrastructures to ANSI/TIA-942 Tier II and Tier III standards; reestablished a five-year project plan to complete the five-million dollar project.Coordinated with inter and intra-departmental and host nation stakeholders while analyzing IT requirements to determine validity, accuracy, or feasibility for implementation at Aviano Air Base. Recommended standards, procedures, and enhancements for implementation and maintenance of IT technologies, such as best practices from the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), which were implemented as part of the 31st Fighter Wing Communications Squadron Cyber Integration (SCXP) standard operating procedures. Reported project statuses up to the 31st Fight Wing Communications Squadron (31 CS) Commander or Director of Operations levels on a weekly basis.

Supported NASA at the White Sands Complex (WSC), NMOversaw multi-million-dollar projects at NASA’s Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) ground stations at WSC, duties included: Determining the scheduling of different phases of projects based on established deadlines, and ensured projects are completed according to schedule and within budget. Developing SOWs for contracts with architecture and engineering (A&E) and construction firms. Briefing Key Decision Point presentations to company and NASA senior managers, which included planning and construction progress, worker productivity, and compliance with building and safety codes.

Supported the US Army at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM and Fort Bliss, TXTeam Lead over the multi-year and multi-million-dollar DoD programs, projects, and service requests: to include system engineering services, computer software engineering services, research engineering services, and unit of action project engineering at WSMR and Ft. Bliss. Managed the final project phases for the implementation of an enterprise level VOIP system on a network that spanned over 100 miles through the New Mexico desert. Supported initial design of a modernized and encrypted Flight Termination System. Oversaw teams of engineers and support personnel for the US Army’s Network Integration Evaluation effort for the System of Systems Engineering Integration Directorate.Subject Matter Expert for Cyber Security and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). Supported transitioning the Patriot Missile Launch Complex through the RMF certification effort. Implemented Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) required configuration changes to Red Hat Linux server for full Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance.

• Oversaw every aspect of the Hurricane Evacuation Encouragement Demonstrator (HEED) project: to include scope definition, budget estimation, project and scheduling planning, earned value management (EVM), risk management, and stakeholder expectation management• Wrote statement of work (SOW) for subcontractors, and oversaw their work in progress and ensured that the deliverable met all quality standards specified in the SOW.• Managed a virtual and geographically dispersed team with developers in New Mexico and California, clients in Virginia, and other project stakeholders in Alabama• Successfully delivered to the client: storm condition computer animations, working prototype of the interactive website, and a fully functional mobile app that provides critical information to citizens when an hurricane evacuation in being executed
