My main responsibilities were to lead a team of tutors to teach middle and high school students a variety of computer science and networking concepts.To build on foundational computer science concepts, I developed a plan to easily develop computer knowledge through fundamental understanding before moving on to higher level concepts, speeding up concept acquisition and covering material 1.5 times as fast as previous terms. I noticed that the curriculum developed basic computer science knowledge, but often missed out on industry-specific tools such as using Github, JS, JavaScript, and React. Because of this, I updated the curriculum both through surveying NC State students and researching online, increasing the curriculum size by about 25%.

My main responsibilities were to organize four large (200+ people) non-profit musical events with a team of 6 other interns, ensuring their seamless preparation, coordination, and execution, aiding in retaining donors and organization musicians.I also performed as a section leader of 12, directing the section to best follow conductor instructions reflecting performances with different customer needs.The system of musical records was not responding to our organizational needs. So, I synchronized and made accessible the team’s system access, decreasing downtimes by 20%I noticed that student musicians wanted a voice in their concert repertoire music selection. I analyzed, assessed, and reported on the musical needs of a talented body of 60+students across North Carolina to help in repertoire selection for various concerts with different themes, increasing retainment rates for musicians. Fundraising events weren’t meeting the needs of the various demographics of organizational sponsors and participants. So, I proposed new designs and features of various fundraising events such as meet-and-greets and music suggestions, ensuring increased engagement by 30% with both organizational members and potential donors.
