Introduced version control to the project (Git) and showed other team members how to use AJAX techniques.

Developed multiple web applications and thick clients for hardware and software configuration management of US Navy AEGIS testing labs. Completed requirements gathering and analysis, customer presentations, time/effort estimation, code review, and served as primary point of contact to user community. Led teams and successfully delivered web application projects using GWT, SmartGWT, Hibernate JPA, Oracle, PL/SQL. Developed RESTful web services based on Maven, JAX-RS Jersey, XSLT, Oracle 11g, used by internal applications for translating Oracle error messages into messages that were understandable to users, and for providing a data dictionary. Integrating these services lowered the number of trouble reports received from the user community by 90%. Also created reports using iReport/JasperReports and Crystal Reports, and used Subversion for version control.

Led Team on GWT web application to automate a paper-based Configuration Management change review process, reducing time spent by users on change review from multiple months to under a week. GWT, Jetty, Oracle, PL/SQL, Tomcat, and JavaMail (SMTP) mail services. Team member supporting (bug-fixes, gathering and analysis of new requirements) 3-tier Configuration Management application, using Swing, Java Web Start, Tomcat, a proprietary SOAP web service, and Oracle. Configured Tomcat web servers to be DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-compliant (using Common Access Cards for authentication).

Technical responsibilities included software development, requirements gathering and analysis, and software documentation. Participated as technical rep in user business process development sessions. Lead Developer of CVS-based Content Management System based on JSF/Ajax4JSF, Tomcat ,and Oracle. Team member (and then Lead Developer) supporting (bug-fixes, gathering and analysis of new requirements) 2-tier Swing-based Applet. Second tier was Oracle database.

Developed applications in support of various Navy projects. Developed a library/stand-alone tool for plotting missile test flight data using C/Motif on Solaris 7; project slated for 16 weeks and delivered seven weeks early. Installed, configured, and maintained group version control services (CVS) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. Worked on team developing an application for storage and validation (using SHA-1 hashes) of classified documents using Microsoft Visual C++. Wrote user guide and lead training for CVS geared towards group's developers and administrative CM personnel.
