I'm an ambitious, passionate, and highly resilient and collaborative executive who was moved to build a career around social impact.  After experiences in the luxury fitness/wellness industry in Europe, Southeast Asia, and here in the US, acted on the notion that wellness activities needed to be accessible to more people. I found mission fulfillment at the Y in Central Maryland where I initially led facility operations in Baltimore City, building community trust, health and wellness programming, social cohesion, and civic engagement, before building our numerous social responsibility initiatives. Then as Vice President, Corporate and Civic Engagement, I conceived and led a portfolio of civic and corporate engagement initiatives across the Central Maryland region; and found serving others was a theme I wanted to carry through my career.In 2021, I leveraged my nonprofit experience and servant leadership, and joined a new mission as CEO at Venture For America during a critical time of change, a role allowing me to parlay my nonprofit, for profit, and small business experience. Under my leadership the organization returned to in-person programming post COVID, launched it's second strategic plan, with a new vision, and mission, and expanded support for Fellow Alumni with Venture Growth, Alumni Experience, and Strategic Partnership initiatives.I currently serve as Interim Chief Operating Officer at Douglass Park Asset Management. For profit but impact aligned, the firm makes meaningful investment in affordable housing. They are a minority-owned real estate investment firm focused on building and preserving quality workforce and affordable housing investing in government-subsidized and non-subsidized multifamily residential housing, with units serving low-income and mixed-income residents. Complimenting my mission aligned leadership roles, I’ve enjoyed serving on the boards of the Samaritan Community, Business Volunteers Maryland, Friends of Gwynn’s Falls Leakin Park, Infinity Wellness Foundation, Washington Spa Professionals Alliance, and review boards for the Chesapeake Bay Trust - all which have given me a view of impact through organizations committed to caring for our fellow citizens in need and in crisis, corporate citizenship, health and wellness of young people, overall mental and physical wellbeing, and access to nature, preservation and outdoor recreation. It’s been from within these organizations that I’ve been able to dedicate time to support impactful leaders I deeply admire and respect.
