I am an associate professor primarily teaching courses in policy, urban policy, and intergovernmental relations. I research how local governments allocate their resources and prioritize goals of sustainability, social equity, economic development, and community development. I make use of a wide range of analytic tools to engage this study, and increasingly.

I am serving as the Associate Director of the Center for Social Science Scholarship. As such, I help to provide thought leadership and support programming including the Social Science Forum, faculty working groups, and host events and trainings that support faculty and students throughout the social sciences.

My primary role was to analyze annual financial fluctuations for large county governments and state governments.
