About Eric Wu

With over 18 years of experience in strategy, operations, and human capital, I currently work in Leadership & Talent Development for Northwestern University, where I lead talent management initiatives, new manager leadership development programs, and performance management processes for our staff. My value proposition is that I blend the practice of Human Centered Design (HCD) and Design Thinking with my past background of business process improvement, and long range strategic planning into organizations to improve the areas of Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Design, Knowledge Management and Sharing, and Organizational Change Management. In short, that means that I focus on developing human-centered solutions that key in on the employee experience, and am also at the same time able to to step back and assess the implications from a P&L/income statement and organization bottom line perspective. I am passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, and I leverage my background in human capital, and strategy and operations to bridge the gap between the corporate and non-profit sectors, particularly within the scope of developing professional and personal development. I am highly engaged in improving the local community through non-profit volunteerism, community-led philanthropy, and board leadership. I value integrity, diversity and inclusion, community involvement, social impact for organizations I'm a part of and work with.I have a Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) and a Graduate Certificate in Designing for Organizational Effectiveness from Northwestern, and an undergraduate degree in business (BSE) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. My specific areas of interest of research include Social Capital, and Job Crafting
