In my role as a Senior Legislative Tax Policy Analyst at the Office of State Auditor, I was responsible for conducting tax expenditure evaluations for the Colorado General Assembly. I conducted research for 50-state comparisons on various education policy subjects, including K-12 and special education funding, postsecondary funding, private school choice, K-12 governance structures, and statewide admissions policies. I authored policy products such as briefs, guides, and snapshots to detail trends and policy options available to state education policymakers. My role also involved conducting research for various grant-funded projects and organizations, providing technical assistance and presentations to state policymakers on a range of education policy topics, and editing and revising policy documents, including those created by colleagues.
