As the head of Developer Advocacy (Developer Evangelism) for Cisco DevNet, my focus is on leading a team of Developer Advocates/Evangelists responsible for developer outreach and enablement on Cisco platforms and solutions. One of the key focuses I brought to the organization from years of work in customer-facing roles is a focus on customer-centric use-cases. In order to add value, I helped increase the focus on understanding the audience's needs, and developing content that not only was educational, but used real world examples to make the learning more relatable. Some of my key focuses in this role included:* Lead technical content strategy for global developer events, including DevNet Create, and the DevNet Zone at each of 4 global Cisco Live events, as well as the Cisco annual global sales meeting* Lead the project to build and launch DevNet Automation Exchange, a curated repository of customer use cases and open source code to solve them, during the Cisco Live US Opening Keynote in 2019. * Lead the team of technical SMEs building out the first of its kind DevNet Certification track, as well as providing key oversight into the direction and strategy for each of the 10 exam blueprints. As the DevOps Solutions Architect for Global Enterprise Segment West, I designed and executed the programmability and automation strategy for GES West. I was responsible for delivering executive briefings, and workshopping with IT leaders how to structure their teams to be more agile and reduce risk through NetDevOps. I was also responsible for delivering keynote presentations at DevNet Express and Cisco Connect regional events across the West, and leading customer and developer workshops, meetups, and talks.

As the Customer Solutions Architect for a leading SaaS customer, I led the technical team covering all customer needs across the Cisco portfolio. I was an advisor to the customer, helping design next generation solutions to enable their developers to be successful with their on-prem cloud, as well as ensuring a collaborative and high performance enterprise network. I worked with the customer to identify and design an Infrastructure as Code solution to cut new application deployments down from weeks to minutes, and provide a golden path for developers to realize self-serve operations without gates from additional teams.

Information Security Engineer responsible for customer engagements. My focus areas included automation of reference design deployments, penetration testing of customer networks and applications, digital forensics in support of ongoing customer litigation, host and network hardening, and network security deployments of solutions from multiple vendors. In this role, I was able to develop new techniques of system penetration for our pen testing business to utilize, and build automated deployment tools to assess and remediate misconfigurations to ensure our customer networks were meeting all of our standards.

As Sr. Network Communications Analyst, my role was to design and implement networking and compute infrastructure across the organization's campus, WAN, and Data Center locations.
