I managed a team of developers and sysadmins which I provided through my company Semperex.www.aintitcool.com is a famous and influential internet blog/news site for "movie geeks".I was responsible for the establishment and maintenance of site's infrastructure and software which handled peaks of more than 2 million dynamically generated page-views daily. My team built two different CMS solutions including one in RoR from scratch intended for maximum flexibility in anticipation of a dramatically more dynamic direction and features. We managed all aspects of hosting on dedicated/colo in two data centers for 5+ years and in the AWS cloud for 2+ years.In addition to CMS, we attended to numerous SA concerns connected with a popular internet site including defending against DoS attacks, hardening separate ad servers, etc.I started out in a very hands-on technical role and built a team of contractors over time.
