In 1997 I concluded a successful career in the Navy, covering the whole spectrum from operational to political environment, As Vice President Operations of Transavia Airlines in Amsterdam, I initiated and implemented a major reorganisation, resulting in a significant improvement in on-time-performance and economy. From 2000 to 2002 I worked as consultant in a home-care organisation and a general hospital respectively. Both jobs concerned the introduction of new software and implementation of the associated procedures and organisational changes. In 2002 and 2003 I organized and executed the merger of the public regional and local broadcasting organisations of the province and the city of Utrecht. From Oct 2003 to Nov 2004 I was Chief Operating Officer of JetNetherlands Airlines. As senior consultant at VSF International, a small, specialised organisation of aviation consultants, a new airline was established with an innovative concept of business travel. Since 2008 I work as an independent interim manager and business consultant.
