As the Director of Information Services and a member of the Executive team I listened and learned from the Board, what it takes to become a profitable company. A mixture of Technology and know-how. Constantly looking for waste, redundant effort and areas where we can automate these processes. Every area or department I investigated had some sort of waste or a place where automation would greatly improve the flow, accuracy, save time and add to profitability. Each area I created a Core Team from the people who delivered the process. I listened to their concerns and learned the answers to the questions needed to analyze the effort, efficiency and areas of automation. Once we had a solution, we tested it with the core team and if successful delivered it to the area as a new process replacing the old one. Managed Systems, Programmed and created Software in JD Edwards with Manufacturing. Designed and Created Inventory Management System to be used outside of JD Edwards. Wrote one of the First Mobile Platform applications in 1998, that was used to collect data and automatically upload it. This data collection application was used on the equipment that was too old for integration. Collected data was then combined with data that I integrated to create a Production Monitoring System. This System would notify managers if levels fell below standards. Also created a system that would track, measure production, labor and cost matrices to determine weather we were on track on not. Installed these Systems in several plants with a production floor application using traffic lights to identify areas where focus was needed.
