As a agroecological intern I created a survey with Dr. Darren Bardati to examine conventional, agroecological, and organic farms and to explore how farmers are transitioning from conventional industrial agriculture to agroecological farming. I also interviewed selected organic and non-organic farmers in Quebec where we examined and asked question about their farming practices.

As a research assistant I created a survey to collect data about market characteristics (e.g. size, mandate, products, customers, etc) and adaptive capacity in Northeastern Vermont. I also examined how farmers’ markets, as a part of the local food system, can enhance adaptive capacity to address impacts of climate change.

While working for Calco soils I collaborated with engineers and environmental assessors from the GFL landfill for the civil work requirements and specification for the creation of landfill cells. With them, I would review blueprints and plans to control and maintain solid waste, leachate, and other waste management practices.With Calco I worked with GIS, GPS systems (i.e, Trimble), transits, and lasers.
