Edited news, reviews, and expansive feature packages on titles ranging from Cowboy Bebop to Bugs Bunny to Steven Universe to an entire month dedicated to the launch of Nickelodeon. We published several stories named "Editors Picks" by Medium and relished the opportunity to let smart writers interview artists and carve out insights about both classic and new cartoons. We sunsetted the site after more than four energetic years.

Top-edited stories (news, reviews, features, interviews, comics, and more), led daily news meetings, and managed a staff of 10 plus dozens of freelancers at one of the premier destinations for rigorous journalism about the arts and the art world. Oversaw daily publishing schedule and editorial direction, produced newsletters, established workflows, negotiated editorial partnerships, hired and mentored junior staff, ran the website in EIC's absence, and wrote a weekly column covering major industry transactions.

Conceived, assigned, edited, and published hundreds of stories running the gamut from new lifestyle features to regular updates of Thrillist's existing library of local coverage in the food/drink, entertainment, and travel beats.Previously served as a writer and editor on our National News Team, where I reported, wrote, and edited stories about a wide range of topics—from viral nuggets to oral histories to extensively researched examinations of the greatest mustachioed swordsmen of all time. Also spent time on Thrillist's SEO team, responsible for editing every story on the site for SEO health, coaching teammates on best practices for search, and writing news stories we knew readers would be searching for on Google.

Launched an arts and culture website publishing thought-provoking articles from diverse perspectives spotlighting up-and-coming artists and musicians and analyzing pop culture. Outcryer published exclusive interviews with authors Steve Stern and Allison Green, 4,000-word Game of Thrones theories, in-depth examinations of the show Northern Exposure, and personal pieces starring the Grateful Dead and the Mountain Goats. Our small but scrappy staff called it quits to pursue other opportunities.

Worked with Superfly on the production and upkeep of festival websites for Bonnaroo, Googamooga, and Outside Lands, building out web pages and editing and published news items. Designed and edited printable guides and signage for the festivals and coordinated with both creative and talent management to communicate artist lineups, vendor info, and venue details as crisply as possible. For Outside Lands, I worked with developers to perfect the festival's mobile app.

As a co-founder of a campus comedy video team, co-produced, scripted, acted in weekly college TV shorts. I launched HumorWhore.com to promote our programming and also had an inordinate amount of fun. (Many years later, this comedy troupe endures; it rebranded to the name "Cut for Time.")
