This whole business started in college at UMaine with two of my best buddies. We needed summer jobs and decided that painting houses might work out. Well, it did, and eighteen years later I have the privilege of serving one of the most hard working teams of great individuals as we paint and coat the largest and most complex structures in New England, together. As the president and leader, It’s my job to live at the bottom of the organization and serve all the great people working here.ACE was started because of friendship, and that focus on family-like relationship is still at work in the organization to this day. Together, we achieve greatness, and that’s only through teamwork. I believe it.Leadership isn’t an ego trip. It’s a lesson in humility and service. I had a coach in Highschool who taught me what it means to serve your teammates and it’s a lesson I’ve never forgotten. Leaders should be the ultimate support system for everyone else. Providing clarity, enabling action, coaching, cheerleading, those are all part of my job. That said, we’re selective about who will come to work with us. Since we view a hire as a “career decision”, we want them to share what we believe and to feel like this is where they belong. If we do invite you into the team, we promise to take care of you by keeping you safe at all costs, providing for your future financially and by supporting your health. We’re a place where people who love to work with their hands can get the same kind of treatment that they would having a degree and a desk job. We owe it to our people.Here, anyone can learn to offer a variety of services, including concrete coatings, standard architectural coatings, epoxy coatings, power washing, abrasive blasting, floor coatings, high-performance metal coatings, lead safety removal, maintenance programs, and vinyl/fabric wall coverings.
