To promote community understanding of, and involvement in, the redevelopment process and activities funded by U. S. Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and/or HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) funds within the City of Costa Mesa. 2. To review the existing Redevelopment Plan for theDowntown Redevelopment Area, and to suggest possiblemodifications to increase its relevance and effectiveness.3. To serve as an advisory body to the Costa MesaSuccessor Agency (Redevelopment Agency).4. To serve as an advisory body to the City Council onactivities funded by HUD, Community DevelopmentBlock Grant (CDBG), and/or HOME InvestmentPartnership Act (HOME) funds, in fulfillment of the City'sCitizen Participation Plan.

Eric Vu is an investment professional specializing in the advisory of retail investment properties ranging from single tenant net leased investments to regional shopping malls. With more than eight years of investment and real estate finance experience, Mr. Vu offers valuable perspective in asset valuation, market activity, capital sourcing, and investment opportunities. Mr. Vu is an integral part of the Hanley Investment Group for his strong financial modeling and asset valuation skills providing high level advisory for the sale and acquisition of retail investments.Prior to joining Hanley Investment Group, Mr. Vu was a Director at Faris Lee Investments, where he managed a team of financial analysts, researchers, and marketing personnel. While at Faris Lee Investments, Mr. Vu directed the development of the company’s Special Servicer Client Project; implementing new procedures and strategies for BOVs for Lenders, Special Servicers, Receivership Managers, and other special asset servicing firms.Previously, Mr. Vu was a Commercial Mortgage Origination Analyst at Wells Fargo Bank’s Commercial Mortgage Group, underwriting and originating CMBS loans through the Southern California Commercial Banking office. He was involved in the origination of over $1 Billion in CMBS debt during his tenure with the bank.Mr. Vu graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business and Management. Mr. Vu is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a candidate for Argus DCF Valuation Certification. Mr. Vu is involved in multiple charities including the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Habitat for Humanity, and Crystal Cove’s Marine Conservation Project near his residence in Southern California. Mr. Vu also serves on the City Council appointed Housing & Public Service Grant committee in his community. He has earned a congressional recognition for his philanthropic efforts. Mr. Vu is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys sailing, fishing, and freediving.
