Eric Wahlberg, retired as the Senior Police Surveillance Specialist with the Los Angeles Police Department and member of the elite Electronics Unit within the LAPD’s Scientific Investigation Division, has over 35 years of experience in the field of electronics – including a tour with the US Navy as well as work with several defense contractors. During his tenure with the LAPD, he has worked in Electronic Surveillance, TSCM, Video Forensics, Audio Forensics, and Cell Phone / Mobile Device Forensics. Eric founded the Cell Phone / Mobile Device Forensics Lab in 2007 and has designed, developed, and installed many specialized surveillance devices for high profile cases for units such as Internet Crimes Against Children, Robbery Homicide Division, Major Crimes Division – Anti-Terror, Commercial Crimes Division, Office of the Inspector General State of California and many local agencies.Eric currently is Manager of Contractors for the Americas / Senior Trainer Developer for Cellebrite as well as the National Computer Forensics Institute.Specialties: Electronics R&D, covert surveillance electronics, forensic video analysis, small scale digital device forensics.
