After almost 17 years, I decided to resign from my position as the global director of architecture and design at Ralph Lauren to reassess my career path and to spend more time with my children. Kids will only be kids for so long, and the 60-70 hour work weeks were not providing me with the downtime needed to connect and enjoy with my family. Encouraged by a very supportive spouse, this temporary break has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made. It has allowed me to fully decompress, review my core values, and share all of my creative thoughts and energy with my children.
