As production manager I have been responsible for the management of the projects within the Maintenance Repair Organization. The scope of work ranged from organizing line maintenance activities for allaspects of the heavy maintenance tasks within the main base organization. This involved managing theproduction capacity and submitting the application for the required company capabilities and approvals. In addition I was responsible for managing the parts and equipment requirements for scheduled and unscheduledmaintenance, repairs and modifications.I also managed staff hiring as well as training & qualification programs for certifying staff and apprentices. In order to work in accordance with the regulatory requirements I was in charge of the full implementation of the EASA regulations and local Heath, Safety and Environmental requirements, thereby creating a Safety Management culture throughout the maintenance organization. Work carried out under my responsibility includes but is not limited to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair and overhaul, modification, refurbishment, aircraft surveys and aircraft re-registrations for new customers.Finally I managed negotiations of maintenance contracts for heavy maintenance and working parties abroad.
