Our team is responsible for building one of our most innovative products in Hudl's history: the Focus camera. It is entirely autonomous and can film any sporting event, anywhere, at any time. Our mission is to help coaches win today. The right video paired with the right data and delivered at just the right time is how they win.Development on the camera started back in the fall of 2017 as Hudl stepped into the hardware space. Within a year, we had our first beta getting tested by 250 high school volleyball and basketball teams. We then launched a full release in the fall of 2019 and are now up to a fleet of thousands of devices. We're continuing to grow and expand our fleet, the sports we support, and evolve our growing list of features. We believe we've only just scratched the surface of what's truly possible.In my capacity as a manager I have managed/coached individual contributors with a variety of experience levels, and a manager who themselves managed a team of engineers.

I worked primarily on Hudl's Community Tribe building awesome software which has included (but is not limited to) highlight creation tools, the Hudl Performance Center (where coaches can learn from the experts), and highlight pages visited over 150 million times in 2015. I developed across the stack, dealing mostly with JavaScript, C#, and MongoDB. In addition to development work, I'm passionate about helping others level-up. I managed a handful of direct reports, and my primary objective is to keep them passionate/engaged, challenged, and always growing.

During my freshman and sophomore years of college I was a Quality Assurance intern doing a combination of manual regression testing and developing tests. During my junior and senior years of college I was a Software Engineering Intern and developed awesome products that solved problems for coaches and athletes.
