Review assessments from referring facilities & note problems/issues requiring further attention.Lead group therapy sessions creating an atmosphere in which self-disclosure is facilitated, help patients gain group process skills, & assist patients gain insight into problems & utilize experiential techniques.Gather comprehensive diagnostic information through biopsychosocial assessments.Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, understand patient issues, progress, strengths & weaknesses, areas of resistance, positive & negative strategies, & clinical judgment in moving patient through treatment levels.Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.Continue treatment planning process throughout patient’s stay in treatment; open new problems and develop or revise treatment plans as necessary.Conduct educational groups (lectures/videos/discussions).Address problem behaviors and confront counter-productive behavior.Assist patients in understanding treatment goals regarding their progress toward recovery as seen by therapist & multidisciplinary treatment team.Demonstrate good strategic and problem-solving skills.Track patient’s clinical problems in group.Provide individual counseling to patients several times per week.Maintain regular contact and open communication with families, assist families in identifying the problems and issues; conduct weekly family therapy session and assist families in finding resources to help themselves.Find and link patient with internal and external resources as needed to meet patient needs.Assist patient in managing outside stressors (legal, financial, vocational, etc.) according to the best interests of the patient’s progress in recovery.Prepare patient to maintain recovery post-discharge and help develop a discharge plan that meets patient needs for ongoing support.

Provide therapeutic services to assigned clients using Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques, best practice guidelines and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with regulatory requirements.Development of individualized master treatment plan, BPSA's, etc., along with providing individual, family and group counseling and required clinical documentation. Work within a multidisciplinary team to review client's treatment, goals, progress, and future needs.Facilitate group therapy based on empirically validated curriculum.Participate in Peer Review process, treatment team meetings with caseworkers, guardians/parents, other involved professionals ie: GAL, MDT/FSPT, etc and other support systems to ensure coordination of care.On-Call for crisis and emergency situationsProvide in-service training to assist staff, including direct care in developing the knowledge and skills necessary for delivery of services authorized in the treatment planConduct visits to other community settings to observe client's behavioral, psychological and psychosocial progress and coordinate treatment intervention.Processing abuse allegations, by collecting information from relevant parties, meeting with investigators, and writing safety plans and follow-ups as necessary.Develop client's behavioral health discharge plan and aftercare plan.Prepares and works with client's biological or legal parents through family therapy to resume or assume care of their child when reunification is the goalComplete case management duties including attending court hearings, correspondence with judges, attending IEP meetings, and every 6 months for re-evaluations.Attend weekly school rounds in order to discuss client progress, suggest effective interventions/strategies to teachers and staff along with emphasizing client's strengths.

Perform duties to plan and implement intensive therapy and counseling processes for children/teens with addiction, behavioral and/or mental disorders. Counsel clients and families individually and in groups.Responsible for completing required assessments and provisions of individuals, group and family therapy. Responsible for coordinating and implementing behavioral health programming associated with the treatment plan, training of direct care staff in the behavioral health treatment plan, monitoring overall course of treatment services, and convening treatment team meetings as scheduled or as needed.Responsible for development of a child's or adolescent's behavioral health discharge and aftercare plan and as a liaison with DJJ, CBC, DCF/SAMH and/or the Office of Family Safety and Preservation.Perform biopsychosocial assessments through interviewing clients, family and others involved along with reviewing of records. Participate in staffings to confer with others and evaluate the condition of client.
