Managed a staff of up to eighty employees to include four supervisors, eight shipping & receiving associates and two maintenance employees, three forklift operators and up to sixty fabricators and welders. Led value stream mapping, and continuous improvement events. Implemented a WIP materials flow stackable racking system. Practiced continuous improvement in all aspects of responsibilities, e.g., work orders, process workflows, operations, materials, communications, etc. Improved on-time delivery; compiled, recorded, and reported on improvements in productivity and utilization. Monitored department budget for temporary staffing, tooling, capitol equipment. Monitored maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and maintenance schedule adherence. Installed shadow boards, and promoted lean manufacturing concepts. Preventatively checked for and immediately addressed safety violations or operator concerns. Mentored, consulted with and coached our ISO/QS representative and was the management representative during registrar re-certifications.
