As a part of a creative team at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, I acted as a multi-disciplinary resource in an agency-like setting. On a daily basis my responsibilities spanned the fields of design (web and print), as well as front-end web development and custom WordPress theming. As a web designer and front-end developer, I was tasked with imagining a brand new online experience for on-site and online visitors and producing high-fidelity prototypes to support and communicate ideas to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, I worked closely with our marketing team to develop custom and responsive HTML email templates and online surveys while gaining hands-on experience with the Drupal Webform module and CMS. I regularly exercised and honed the graphic design portion of my skills set as I produced print and digital editorial design deliverables including magazine layouts (for the CW Journal), advertisements, catalogs, brochures, and other materials used to promote the foundations educational product offerings. I also assisted in the production of large format graphics and studio set art direction for live productions.
