Current• Directed a team of 20 engineers in designing, modeling, and manufacturing fixed wing and rotary aircrafts. • Used SolidWorks CAD and GrabCAD to collaboratively design autonomous aircraft with a team of 20 other students. • Utilized CFD to simulate airflows and collect quantitative data on the aerodynamic properties of proposed airframes. • Developed CAD tutorials and compile a Wiki to instruct new members how to effectively use simulation software in the design process. • Educated new members about basic aerodynamic, statics, and dynamics principles. • Refined the leadership and membership structures of the club to see a growth from 10 active members to over 50.• As EVP, created a sponsorship packet and coordinated communication with over 60 companies in an effort to raise money for the club. • Led a sponsorship effort to attain the largest awarded donation from UCLA engineering alumni association among UCLA engineering clubs.
