As a SME within the IDaM team, I am tasked with overseeing day-to-day design and administration of core Okta components such as IAM, MFA and PAM. I act as a liaison with customers to design and deliver comprehensive solutions involving cloud technologies, secure access, and optimal user experience.

In the role of senior cloud security architect, I acted on behalf of the IT service organization as a subject matter expert for projects incorporating cloud identity, modern access, and user lifecycle management. To extend security over deployed cloud services, my responsibilities also included management of endpoint devices on which enterprise applications/data are deployed. This involved maintenance of mobile device policy, securing access to on-premise/cloud-hosted services, mobile app deployment, comprehensive posture assessment, containerization and data loss protection.

Duties consist of roadmap development, design and implementation of mobility solutions, procurement of documentation and Tier III support. Core technology focus areas include Apple, MobileIron, F5, Aruba, VMWare and a variety of Microsoft products. Although my focus is of a technical nature, I am engaged frequently with operating company partners and senior management to obtain an understanding of project initiatives and determine how mobility requirements can best be met. Senior engineer in the Mobility division tasked with leading Kindred in development of an intuitive, secure and streamlined mobile environment for use by support employees and physicians alike. Initial duties consisted of support for Good Mobile, Blackberry Enterprise and Microsoft ActiveSync. 2011 acquisition resulted in ownership of a neglected MobileIron environment with over 10,000 Apple iPod Touch devices. Scope entailed repair of failing components, application upgrades and overseeing the unification of security policies. As stability was restored to the environment, my efforts now focus towards consultation with various lines of business to obtain an understanding of project initiatives and determine how mobility requirements can best be met. In addition, I am frequently involved in presenting to and/or providing materials used in demonstrations held with upper IT management. Proposed solutions include, but are not limited to: mobile application deployment, mobile email access, digital certificate enrollment/issuance, remote file access, VPN access and BYOD program for supported Apple and Android devices.

Engineer in the Enterprise Systems Management division tasked with consolidation, revitalization and administration of an aging HP OpenView software environment. Day-one initiatives involved consolidation effort to eliminate $600,000 of unnecessary hardware maintenance expenses. Subsequent plans were then made to upgrade remaining products, along with Microsoft Server and SQL. Due to large amounts of customization, shared components and external integration points, this effort proved to be a challenge on multiple fronts. However, through perseverance and support from involved parties, all components were upgraded successfully. Product administration included but was not limited to; Discovery/inventory of network nodes and development of instrumentation for monitoring new equipment and software within the enterprise.

Member of a technical design team tasked to work alongside sales personnel to craft Windows-based solutions for new/existing customers. Design process required consideration not only for Microsoft software and licensing, but also for necessary network and server equipment. Architected solutions typically consisted of web server(s), firewall, network load balancing and backup of mission critical data. Support for the internal Hosting network also played a major part in day-to-day responsibilities. Microsoft WDS was implemented as a means to insure continuity across new server rollouts. Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, DFS and Exchange server were also performed daily as these technologies were deployed into a fair amount of customer environments.

Member of Enterprise Architecture team established post-merger to support datacenter operations. Primary responsibilities consisted of providing support for Microsoft Server 2000/2003, SMS Server and Server/Client OS deployment.
