As senior VP, I led new product development and technical design ownership of hemodialyzers, hollow fiber membranes, therapeutic apheresis adsorbers, blood tubing circuits, blood circulation cassettes, and peritoneal dialysis cassettes. It is important to highlight that I created an innovation program and implemented agile teams for SAFe lean-agile transformation. Along with the above responsibilities, I coordinated with global therapy programs to derive a program roadmap. It was me who presented technological advancements, performance results, and strategies to the management board of FMC. Moreover, I delivered directly to a development team of 150+ engineers, scientists, and technicians in numerous global locations.My accomplishments within this role are the following:• Oversaw two 510(k) submissions and supported CE mark and NMPA registrations within the fully remote environment in 2021.• Streamlined product portfolios and initiated globalization of platforms. Developing reusable modules and components improved quality and shortened development times, reducing development cycle times by 50%.• Managed >8M Euro budget and achieved targets consistently, year-over-year, managing long-term plans for needed competencies and reduction in force of redundant areas. Targets are achieved continuously while maintaining a budget for targets.• Led a global development team of 150 engineers, scientists, and technicians to successfully achieve eight 510(k) decisions from the FDA for submissions in the last ten years (16 510(k)’s since 2000) and two CE approvals, which supported a product family that is selling greater than >200M globally representing a >70% market share and providing >$1.5 billion in revenue annually.• Led to developing a strong predevelopment pipeline successfully funded by corporate innovation initiative (~2M Euros).• Promoted from VP to SVP of PEC.DM in 2018 by surpassing senior management expectations.

Along with this, I steered new and current product design and development.Below listed are some of my achievements in this role:• Managed the development and introduction of new single-use hemodialyzers for the United States market that have become the single largest selling family hemodialyzers for Fresenius Medical Care in North America.• Established and oversaw a group of 50 engineers and technicians, including the construction of a new $6.8M- 32,500 square foot R&D building with 15,800 square feet of laboratories.• Spearheaded teams to complete and introduce two families of products in two years, including 18 separate models (secured $100M+ in sales per year).• Planned new and existing product strategies, processes, design, and development. Delivered long-term product development strategy and managed full-life-cycle product development activities from idea generation through development, validation, and product launch.
