• Served as a UCSB Campus Leader in the Student Ambassador Program of UCAN, a group run by the UC Office of the President that mobilized UC students, faculty, alumni, and community members to advocate for policies that support UC system• Grew UCAN membership by recruiting and mobilizing students to act upon calls to action for UC system• Supervised UCSB’s 10-20 UCAN student ambassadors to hold them accountable for their outreach efforts• Testified at a state budget hearing and lobbied legislators for support of various bills and increased funding towards higher education during budget advocacy trip to Sacramento in April 2019

• Served as a staff member of the Korean American Student Association, a cultural club that sought to promote and share Korean culture to the larger UCSB community, as the Interclub Public Relations Director• Communicated with various other cultural clubs on the UCSB campus to maintain positive relations between KASA and them and to collaborate with them for events• Helped with the planning and organizing of various events as a staff member, such as KASA’s first Night Market that hundreds of students attended in order to try out Asian food offered by other student orgs

• Represented UCSB’s undergraduate students as one of 25 Senators in UCSB’s Associated Students Senate, first as an On-Campus Senator and then elected to a full year-long term as an Off-Campus Senator• Appointed as Co-Chair of the Food Security Committee, a standing Senate committee that assisted and advocated for food security efforts in collaboration with other campus organizations• Conducted projects and wrote legislation especially focusing on, among other things, the issues of basic needs security and representation for UCSB’s international student population

• Served as events coordinator for the Isla Vista Community Relations Committee, an organization within Associated Students of UCSB that sought to strengthen relationship between student population and long-term resident population of Isla Vista• Planned and organized events like the Pardall Carnival, an annual carnival held in Isla Vista during the fall quarter that hundreds of both students and local families living in Isla Vista attended

• Interned at the Lakewood district office of the California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon via the APIs Mobilize college internship program• Assisted staff members of the office in carrying out their duties by, among other things, conducting research for projects, typing up documents, and compiling tabling materials to hand out to constituents at events • Helped in the planning and organizing of various projects and events that the office was conducting, such as the annual SELA Arts Festival held in Southeast LA that thousands of local community members attended

• Interned for campaign to reelect incumbent Congressman Salud Carbajal for 10 hours per week for two months• Registered students to vote while tabling in various locations on campus• Canvassed in Isla Vista to inform residents about Carbajal and the local Democratic Party’s slate of candidates• Assisted Carbajal in winning reelection with 58.6% of the vote during the November 2018 general election

• Interned for the campaign in favor of the passage of the Measure R ballot measure, which would have created a dedicated tax revenue stream for the local government of Isla Vista• Registered hundreds of students to vote while tabling on campus, canvassed in Isla Vista to inform residents about measure, and collected pledge cards that showed their support for Measure R• Ballot measure passed with almost 84% of total votes in favor of it during the June 2018 statewide primary election

• Interned in Korean American Youth Leaders in Training program organized by nonprofit organization K.W. Lee Center for Leadership that trained Korean American students in political activism and community organizing within Korean American community in LA• Helped lead voter registration project targeted at Korean Americans for upcoming 2016 presidential election• Collaborated with other interns to compile data and spread awareness of voter registration efforts• Hit and exceeded goal of collecting 500 voter registrations throughout Los Angeles County by end of program
