After spending 6 years in the retail grocery industry, I worked my way up to a management position. It helped my grow professionally and personally as I built friendships with coworkers and customers. Eventually the time came to find something with a more consistent schedule for my family. IT seemed foreign in a lot of ways, but through family members I found out about Centriq. As I went through the Security and System Administrator course my eyes were opened to the industry. I found a place for people looking to work hard, dig into issues, and do it with a great attitude. I immediately knew I’d be sticking around and have been letting my curiosity drive the direction of my learning. Security, Linux, Windows Administration, virtualization, and Powershell have been my focus lately. I love camping, cycling, and play dough with the kiddos.
