Manage Emerson’s Ovation Security Center, responsible for securing the Ovation DCS, a security suite to manage cybersecurity without disrupting the control process.Assist in the implementation of Ovation DCS to efficiently bring power plants and other critical assets to operational status in an efficient and timely manner.Develop procedures and implement security software to ensure critical assets meet NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) Compliance standards.Providing operational support for over 150 highways currently secured with the Ovation Security Center, including fleet wide services for Duke Energy, Southern Company, and SDG&E.Provide remote troubleshooting consultations as well as travel to client locations across North America to provide on-site assistance with maintenance and disaster relief efforts to minimize outages in power production.Consult with clients to determine the best course of action for implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures.Instruct and guide clients through the implementation stages and continued use of cybersecurity software and hardware.Assist clients with software maintenance and compliance to ensure continuous and efficient operation of the site via implementation of antivirus, patching, RAID, intrusion detection and log management to airgapped networks.Manage security events, patch retrieval and deployment, malware prevention, log storage and reporting, whitelisting, device control, intrusion prevention, data recovery, and vulnerability discovery.Develop procedures and install software to best mitigate risk to critical assets to prevent unplanned outages.Configured Cisco ASAs, routers, and switches including the creation of access control lists to control the flow of network traffic for secure communications.Site Lead at PacifiCorp’s Bridger Coal during Q2 and Q3 of 2017 performing a complete facility-wide cybersecurity implementation following the 20 Critical Security Controls.
