This helps with developing great customer relationships and enables me to meet and anticipate their needs.I have a Bachelor of Arts in History and Classical Studies, with a minor in Political Science. So, this means that I like reading and I am always making connections from the past to help guide my thinking about the present. History does not always repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme. I also have a Master of Library and Information Science degree where I learned about Big Data, data visualization, user-experience, and financial management as some examples of courses. It went beyond cataloguing books and reader’s advisory, which is what most people think of with Library and Information Science. However, information organization skills are very useful in a world that is being built on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Recent books that I've read and recommend: The Alignment Problem (it is a non-fiction book about AI and learning) and World Without End (it is a historical fiction novel about the 100 Years' War and the Black Death).

Project ManagerNorth Dakota University System Jan 2023 - PresentFargo-MoorheadI was promoted from Associate Project Manager to Project Manager this year. I utilize the principles of project management to track and present results, milestones, and deliverables across multiple projects. One of my big projects is a market analysis for a new ERP system. I gathered business requirements as well as working with a consultant who conducted focus groups. I coordinated over 100 hours of data collection. These interviews were set up so that campus stakeholders could feel heard and voice what was good and bad about the system. I maintained and updated the CTS website for information for this project that also involved posting town hall videos for stakeholders. This way they are available if there were scheduling conflicts during the town hall meetings. • Another project involves managing over 30 people across 6 teams ranging from security to database administration to implement a PeopleTools upgrade. I communicated the progress and tracked the issue log. I developed a charter and project plan based on business requirements and scope of the project with the sponsor of this project and got sign-off from the executive steering committee. I archive project materials in an online repository. • I am leading a project on procurement automation. I am collaborating with a PM from the State of North Dakota because this is an implementation to replace the old state procurement system. I am developing a charter for the NDUS part of the project as well as collaborating with campus users to define their measures of success. • I am a subject matter expert in the implementation of a new knowledge management platform based on my experience in library and information science. I helped run focus groups to help us figure out what would best help users and what they want for a way to get the information that they need to be more effective and efficient. I also helped other SMEs get added to the project from other teams to contribute their knowledge.
