I am an experienced public relations professional, especially with the media. For more than eight years, I was employed as Head of this area at Hidria Corporation. With more than 2,000 employees at five locations in Slovenia, Germany, Hungary and China, Hidri is one of the world's leading manufacturers of automotive and industrial technology. The corporation is also one of the largest employers in our country, so keeping employees and the public informed about what is happening in the corporation in a timely and high-quality manner is crucial. In my position as Head of Public Relations at Hidria, I was responsible for PR, preparation of strategies for presentations to the media and other public, editor-in-chief of the corporate magazine Hidria, author of numerous PR articles and content, internal communicator, co-organiser of events, etc. Together with colleagues from various Hidria functions and business units and a team of experts, I also took care of internal communication and keeping employees up-to-date on the most important events and Hidria's policies. I have also worked closely with marketing, where I have used my competences to help launch new products on the market.For 15 years I have been a field journalist, a reporter of weekly shows (Tednik, Gospodarski Izzivi,...), a presenter of shows and round tables, and for the longest time I worked as a journalist of daily-informative shows, covering mostly economic topics, but I was no stranger to other fields as well; daily journalism, as well as PR and marketing, was also a part of my career. This is because daily journalism, like PR, requires knowledge of all segments of society (economy, politics, civil sphere, religions, science, technology, etc.), which is why as a communicator or journalist you can best launch a news or a message to either the internal (employees) or the external public (the media).
