AxesInMotion (https://axesinmotion.com/) is a mobile games publisher with more than 800 million downloads, that belongs to the Media and Games Invest Group. I work in Axes as its sole data specialist. I'm thus in charge of maintaing the whole data infraestructure and doing accurate data analysis using statistics.During my time here:-I introduced the scientific method to our data analysis practices. I familiarized the team with concepts such as hypothesis testing, statistical significance, and statistical power.-I introduced the game design team to the proper execution of A/B testing and related concepts. This included teaching them how to interpret confidence intervals and p-values provided by the Firebase Console, as well as stressing the importance of having a sufficient sample size to ensure enough statistical power when conducting hypothesis testing.-I've been maintaining the data infraestructure created in Google Cloud by the previous data specialist in the company, and added some changes to it to improve the data quality and data governance.-I've been ensuring that the events sent by our apps are working well, and tracked bugs related to them for reporting to QA team.-I created a design standard for our dashboards in order to make them easier to interpret.-I've been crafting proposals for improve our main game, Extreme Car Driving Simulator, based on the conclusions extracted from my data analysis, that contributed to improve the retention of the game. -I introduced a new type of analysis of the user behaviour: heatmaps with the activity of our users in the map of the game, in order to detect the most populated zones. These heatmaps are used by the game designers in order to detect the best zones for adding new features to the game.Why I started working here: Because of my passion for the video game industry.

Inveert is a Spanish Fintech startup (https://inveert.com/). During my time here:-I worked in the development of the REST API used by the app Finsei (https://app.finsei.io/meta), an app designed for crafting customized personalized investment plans tailored to the financial goals of the user. I developed the entire code for connecting to a third-party API to facilitate the management of financial product hiring and made endpoints for the REST API used by Finsei.-I also participated in the development of the algorithm used by Finsei to create personalized investment plans.-I authored the document titled 'Technology and Digitalization of Financial Advisory,' a piece of content for the official website, in which I explain how AI can enhance the traditional process of financial advisory. I decided to assist in the process of web content writing because I have always enjoyed writing and possess strong skills in this area.Why I started working here: I joined the company because I wanted to enter the job market as soon as possible and begin saving for pursuing a master's degree in Big Data.Why I left: Once I finished my master's degree in Big Data, I wanted to start working as a data specialist, as I found the data field more interesting than API development.
