Accountable for the management of all operations and their financials, including production, warehouse, purchasing, quality control and logistics. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, I am responsible for many continuous improvement initiatives as well as numerous cost cutting programs. As the head of this facility, I have been an integral part defining the company’s official strategic plan and a key driver to its implementation. I am also a integration team leader for all acquisitions, this involved the closure of three facilities and rolling their services into the Southern California headquarters while adding minimal headcount and making sure the integrations and relocations are completed with minimal disruptions. Complete understanding on ERP/MRP/MPS systemsKey Achievements: Year to date I have reduced manufacturing head count by 15% at the same time reducing overtime by 34% compared to the same period last year. This was achieved through a more efficient re engineered manufacturing process and through an employed awareness program that kept employees informed of the company’s targets and results. Increase on time delivery from 74% in 2007 to 96% 2008 by streamline production process and identify analyzing safety stock and EOQ’s on most common raw materials. Freight Cost Reduction generated an annual $250,000 savings by hiring a transportation consulting firm that assist choosing the most cost efficient transportation provider and manage payment of our freight bills.
