Hi, I'm Erik! I am an Economics major at the University of Maryland currently in my junior year and I have always been fascinated by the world of economics. I found that the best way to express my passion is through using economic theory and statistical analysis to explore the world of data and statistics. In the past, I have worked on developing my communication and teamwork skills from my time at Facci Ristorante and through my experience as a Volleyball Referee. I was then able to take these interpersonal skills and intersect them with my passion in my role as a teaching assistant for a microeconomics course, developing my skills in economic theory and interpersonal communication. Along with my participation in numerous data analytics projects and competitions, I enjoyed taking my analytical and critical thinking skills into my role as a Business Analyst for GERSTEL Inc. specifically exploring more about the intersection between business and economics hands-on. I am currently the Recruitment chair for my Professional Fraternity Phi Chi Theta as well as a Member Services Representative at University Recreation and Wellness, and am excited to take the skills I have acquired over the summer and utilize them in my current roles.
