I am a Material Science Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory with a B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley's College of Chemistry. My material science research focuses on modulating polymer chemistry to understand how the transport of electrolyte ions and CO2 reduction products (e.g., liquid alcohol fuels) are governed by the chemical and structural properties of anion exchange membranes. In addition, I test electrochemical cells using an SRI gas chromatograph with LabView software. Design and develop thin film catalysts using a magnetron sputtering system, nanoscale material analysis using a scanning electron microscope, and determine the carbon dioxide reduction products using nuclear magnetic resonance. Furthermore, I develop functional capabilities in air-free polymer synthesis and purification using a Schlenk line, glovebox use, membrane casting, safe cryogen handling, and chemical hygiene.
